Special Post - Priceless

The Dow Jones nose-diving 1,000 points as the result of a once-in-a-lifetime electronic trading malfunction: Cost - $55,000

Your daughter providing one of the most inspiring performances you've ever seen in your life: Priceless.

In March, you read about Chelsea's journey and how she overcame her struggle with diabetes to reach the stars at the age of 17.

Now listen to what God has done with her life as she gives her senior high school farewell performance in the form of a violin solo of the theme from Schindler's List at the 2010 Dennis-Yarmouth Pops Concert.

P.S. I didn't shed any tears on Thursday.  I did tear up tonight as I was recording this.

Beautiful performance :)

What amazes me the most is the mix of humility and confidence...it's not so much that she played a goosebump-inducing piece for me as much as HOW she played it- before, during and after.

Perhaps that's how she went from survivor to flourisher...

I divide my time between Aspen, Colorado and Las Vegas and I feel that Chelsea should look into doing a summer (July-August) stint at the Music School and Festival in Aspen this summer or next. A lot of people think Aspen is all glitzy types and so forth but I wish assure you it is one of THE Cultural centers of the world during the summer season and she could interact with others of her talented peer group. It is an experience that she would remember her whole life.
